2021 YOUTH BLACK HISTORY ESSAY/POETRY/DRAWING CONTEST

ESSAY GUIDELINES:

Write about an African-American that has inspired you?

Tell WHAT he/she has done?

Tell WHY he/she has inspired and motivated you?

 

Essay MUST be between 100 - 300 words

At the top of the Essay, write your Name, School Name, and your Grade Level (Elementary, Middle, High)

 

ESSAY EVALUATION:

Following Guidelines, Comprehension, Organization & Creativity

Write about an African-American that has inspired you?

Tell WHAT he/she has done?

Tell what is inspirational about that person?

Drawing about an African-American that has inspired you.

Demonstrate WHAT he/she has done.

Demonstrate the benefits of what the person has done.

 

Drawing MUST be done on an 8 ½” by 11” paper

At the top of the Drawing, write your Name, School Name, and your Grade Level (Elementary, Middle, High)

 

DRAWING EVALUATION:

Following Guidelines, Clear to understand, & Creative
